Ivory Tower Daily Instances

There are 2 new daily instances added to the game today! They are suitable for nearly everyone! The only requirement is that your character at some point was above level 65. There are 4 difficulty levels for each one that you can choose from. However, you can only do each one twice, regardless of which difficulty level you choose.

Hardin’s Laboratory
Hardin was experimenting on the souls that came out of the rift trying to find a way to restore them to their rightful place on the other side of the rift. Hardin believes that Orim was behind this, as Orim has expressed his desire to allow the souls to come through as they are the key to discovering a way to gain the powers of the souls of the dead. Hardin’s assistant has asked that you help clear the lab of the souls that escaped so they can again begin experimentation.

This instance quest requires you to find the hidden door to Hardin’s secret lab and use the key. Upon successfully using the key in the right location, you’ll enter Hardin’s lab and be required to kill the monsters that spawn. You will have 10 minutes to kill all of the monsters, if you run out of time, or die, you’ll be ported out. So choose which difficulty with care as you only have on try at this quest each day.

Orim’s Laboratory
Orim was accused of sabotaging Hardin’s lab and causing the release of the souls that Hardin was working on to discover a way to send them back through the rift. Hardin alerted the guards of the Ivory Tower to investigate. Orim’s assistant has requested that you go in and remove the threats so that Orim can continue his research.

This instance quest requires you to find the hidden door to Orim’s secret lab and use the key. Upon successfully using the key in the right location, you’ll enter Hardin’s lab and be required to kill the monsters that spawn. You will have 10 minutes to kill all of the monsters, if you run out of time, or die, you’ll be ported out. So choose which difficulty with care as you only have on try at this quest each day.

Difficulties Explained
Easy: This mode causes the monsters to lose all forms of aggression and socialization. They have the lowest hp amounts and their tier is reduced to -5.

Normal: This mode causes the monsters to be aggressive to non poly/non coi. If you want to prep for hard or extreme try this mode without a poly so you can see what it will be like with full aggression. The monsters are also non social. No HP alterations or tier changes with normal mode.

Hard: This mode causes the monsters to become very aggressive to everything as well as social. Monsters have their HP multiplied times 5 and their tier set to +5. If that wasn’t enough a boss will also spawn in this mode.

Extreme: This mode is not recommended to anyone as it will most likely cause you to lose your daily chance to do this instance. All monsters are very aggressive and social. A boss will spawn in this difficulty. The HP values are multiplied times 10 and the tier is set to +9. Be warned, this difficulty level is very hard and may not be capable by anyone at this point of time.

Finding the labs
When you accept the quests you will be given a key and a hint will come up to help you find the hidden door. Here are some helpful pieces of information in regards to finding the door.

  • The doors are in the Ivory Tower on Floor 1,2 or 3
  • The door requires you to be in the exact spot when you double click the key
  • The clue pops up when you accept the quest, if you forget it, tell the npc you forgot your key and it will let you accept the quest again thus giving you the clue again.
  • The door locations do not change, so once you find them, you’ll not have to find them again each day
  • If you still have problems finding the door ask around for help!

Instance Rewards
The monsters have the same drop rates regardless of difficulty level, however the rewards for completing the instance are different. Drop rates are very high in these instances because you have one attempt each day.

The monsters have a very high drop rate for soul fragments used in the quest for becoming a reaper. They also have many S grade mat drops.

The rewards for completing the instance currently are as follows:

Easy: 10000 T1XP, 200 SXP
Normal: 50000 T1XP, 500SXP, 1 Clan Skill Energy, 1 Clan XP Energy
Hard:100000 T1XP, 1000SXP, 1 Clan Skill Energy, 2 Clan XP Energy
Extreme: 200000T1XP, 2000SXP, 2 Clan Skill Energy, 2 Clan XP Energy

Drops and rewards for the instances may change over time.

Other Details
Only one player can be inside each instance at a time.
You cannot enter while in a party.
The instance has a timer of 10 minutes, after which it is considered a fail and you are removed from the instance.
If you die while inside you will likely be ported out and it will be considered a fail.
